The Laurens District 55 High School Band is a comprehensive instrumental music program which offers students the opportunity to study music in a variety of settings. The Raider Band represents LDHS at Varsity Football games, local competitions, and parades in the Fall. The Concert Bands have a tradition of Superior Performance on stage and in performances at multiple venues. Over the years, members of the program have represented District 55 in London, Florida, California, New York City, and, on four occassions, given memorial concerts at Pearl Harbor. The band program also offers opportunities for students to achieve as indvidual performers by participating in SCBDA sanctioned events.
