It is the mission of Laurens Middle School Media Center to support and enrich the curriculum, to provide the school population with academic resources and to encourage reading that will aid in the development of productive independent learners.
Hours:
Library hours 7:30-3:40.
Passes:
Students must have a pass to come to the library from a class or during lunch period.
Loan Period:
Books circulate for two weeks with renewals available. Magazines and Graphic Novels circulate for one week. Books must be brought to the library to be renewed.
High Expectations:
Students using the Media Center are expected to show respect for themselves, each other, library equipment and materials, and staff.
Computers:
Before and after school computers may be used for email, games, school work or just "surfing". During the school day library computers are available to students working on school assignments only. Internet access is available to students in accordance with the Laurens #55 Acceptable Use Agreement.
Wii:
Yes Wii is here and you are welcome to play before and after school. The only requirement is that you not have any overdue materials.
