| LDHS Freshman Academy is the bridge from the 8th grade to 10th grade, and WE are MOTIVATING students to get there! A Note to Parents I would like to welcome you and your child to the Freshman Academy's website. By now, your student should be well-rested and geared up ready to go. Our teachers have planned exciting and enriching learning opportunities for our students and are eager to get started. I encourage you to visit our website periodically for updated information, teacher contact information, and important dates. We encourage and welcome your involvement in your child’s education. To keep you abreast of your child’s academic progress, I urge you to become an active participant in your child's educational experiences. Please contact Ms. Cindy Godwin, the 9th grade guidance counselor, to arrange parent conferences, and Mrs. Kay Henderson, a student advocate, for directions on how to access Parent Portal.
