I was born in Virginia in a very small county. Shortly after I was born my family moved to Los Angeles, California. At the time my family consisted of my mother, my older sister Candi, and myself. My babysitter only spoke Spanish, so I learned to speak Spanish and English at the same time. Unfortunately I no longer remember how to speak Spanish since I never used the language after moving to Torrance, California when I was five. I attended Lincoln Elementary School from kindergarten through fifth grade. Before sixth grade began, my family moved from California to Columbia, South Carolina. I attended Irmo Middle School and graduated from Irmo High School.
| I attended Columbia College straight out of high school. I chose to attend Columbia College because it was near home, and offered more scholarships than any of the other schools I had applied to. Not only did I receive my undergraduate degree from Columbia College, I also received my Masters degree a year later. While attending grad school, Mr. Scott offered me a job to teach at Hickory Tavern Middle School. My husband, Dave, our son Isaac, and I moved to Fountain Inn when I accepted this job. I love working at Hickory Tavern Middle School and I enjoy my students. They are a well behaved, hard-working group of students!
| Interesting Facts I have three younger brothers. I also have four sisters. One of them is older than I am. The rest of my sisters are younger than I am. My husband and I started dating when we were seniors in high school. We got married the summer after I graduated college. We have three sons; Isaac, Elijah and Roman Isaac and Elijah attend Hickory Tavern Elementary School. We also have one daughter that was born this past Christmas! Lorelei |
