All About Me--Janice Davis |

Greetings to all! My name is Janice Davis. I have lived in Laurens all of my life, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. My husband Wayne and I have three children-Ben, Leanne, and Daniel. My daughter Leanne and son-in-law Jason live in High Point, North Carolina.They have one six year old son Tyler and a one year old named Aaron Lee .
My college years did not begin until after I already had two children. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I immediately went to work at Thornwell Home and School for Children in Clinton, S. C. I worked there for twenty years. While there, I taught fifth grade for nine years, second grade for ten years, and sixth and seventh science and social studies for one year. This will be my sixth year at Gray Court-Owings Elementary school teaching third grade, and I am thoroughly enjoying being part of such a wonderful group of teachers and students.
I enjoy reading, playing the piano, shopping, and watching CSI! After teaching for twenty-five years, entering the classroom is still one of my most enjoyable and rewarding daily experiences. A child's excitement about learning is contagious!
