Hello! My name is KC Turner and I teach 3rd grade at Hickory Tavern Elementary. This is my second year teaching 3rd grade. I taught 1st grade at Hickory Tavern prior to teaching 3rd grade and I taught 1st grade at Waterloo Elementary for 5 years before that. I graduated from Lander Univeristy in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. While attending college, I had the opportunity to work in numerous classrooms ranging from 4K to 1st grade. Outside of college, I have also worked as an assistant in both 1st grade and 2nd grade. I have also served as lead teacher for 5th and 6th grade in an After School program in Laurens County District 56.
I am originally from Greeneville, TN but my family has lived in Laurens since I was 3 years old. I am proud to call Laurens home! I got married in 2006 to my husband, David. In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching football, and spending time with my family and friends. I am glad to have the opportunity to teach your child this year!
