General Information

Ford Elementary

School Hours: The school day officially begins at 7:50 AM.  If you child enters the classroom after 7:50, he/she will be considered tardy.  Students are not allowed to enter the classroom until 7:30AM.  School is dismissed at 2:55 PM each day.

Breakfast and Lunch: Breakfast is served daily in the classroom free of charge.  The price of student lunch is $1.75.  Free and reduced lunch forms are available through the classroom teacher or the cafeteria.  The price of reduced lunch is $.40.

Medication: If you child takes medication during school hours, please leave the medication with the school nurse.  The nurse will administer all medications to students.

Homework: The homework assignments will remain the same each week unless extra support is needed or classwork is not completed.  A homework sheet will be sent home in your child’s homework folder every Monday.  Please initial this sheet each night.  It is important for your child to complete his/her homework assignments daily.

Parties: Our class will have two parties this year to celebrate Christmas and Valentine’s Day.  Parental support is important for the students to have an enjoyable party. You will be contacted closer to time to be asked to assist with one of our parties.
